Pastor T.C. Arnold was born in Alton, Ill., and grew up in the St. Louis area. He graduated from Concordia University in River Forest, Ill. in 1995 and earned a Master of Divinity degree from Concordia Seminary in St. Louis in 1999.
Pastor Arnold has served as Senior Pastor at Christ Lutheran since October 2006, following five years as Assistant Pastor of our parish family and two years as Pastor for Trinity Lutheran Church in Millstadt, Ill.
In addition to overseeing the day-to-day activities of Christ Lutheran, Pastor Arnold represents our parish family at LCMS District Regional Meetings and in the community. In 2010 he completed Doxology training at The Lutheran Center for Spiritual Care and Counsel, receiving a Certificate in Christian Counsel and Care, for the continuation and enhancement of pastoral skills to better serve and support people struggling with the ever-increasing personal, family, and social complexities of contemporary life. Pastor Arnold has served as a Fellow in the Doxology Collegium of pastors since his induction in 2014.
Pastor and his wife Andrea have two sons, Jacob and Benjamin. In their free time, the family enjoys traveling to visit extended family and camping.
Pastor Brandon James Froiland was born in Bloomer, Wis., and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Pre-Seminary Studies and Theological Languages from Concordia University-Wisconsin in 2004. He began his seminary formation in the fall of 2004 and received his Master of Divinity degree in May 2008.
Pastor Froiland has served as Assistant Pastor at Christ Lutheran since 2008, supporting the Senior Pastor in management of day-to-day activities of the church and as a member of the Board of Directors for Martin Luther Academy.
Pastor and his wife Sara have four children, Joseph, Lydia, Isaac, and Emmalynn. They enjoy traveling and spending time with friends and family.
Deacon David Buchholz was born and raised in Kansas City, Mo. He graduated from Concordia Teachers College of Seward, Neb. in 1978 with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in education and earned a master’s degree in education in 1988.
Following their June 1978 wedding, Deacon and Mary (Zobel) Buchholz received their first placement to Immanuel Lutheran School in Hillside, Ill., where they both served as Lutheran school teachers. Subsequently, Deacon Buccholz accepted the call to teach at Grace Lutheran School in Kansas City, Kan., followed by Trinity Lutheran in Alma, Mo. While at Trinity Lutheran, he served in a variety of positions including teacher, Athletic Director, and Principal. He also served as Principal of Holy Cross Lutheran School in Kansas City from 2001 to 2004.
Deacon Buchholz possesses over a decade of experience in Youth Ministry, having served as Community Life Leader for the LCMS Department of Youth Ministry in the area of Servant Events. He is trained as both Consultant and Team Captain for Lutheran schools seeking National Lutheran School Accreditation and is a member of the Lutheran Education Association.
Deacon Buhholz has served as Deacon for Christ Lutheran since 2004, leading youth education and service opportunities for the parish family including Little Lambs, Kids for Chris, JR-LYF, and SR-LYF.
David and Mary have five children: Anna, Rachel, Matthew, Joshua, and Mark.
Mrs. Chrissy Heiss is the Pre-Kindergarten Director here at Christ Lutheran. She has over ten years of teaching experience including six years teaching preschool and kindergarten at Immanuel-Zion in Higginsville. During her time at Immanuel, Mrs. Heiss initiated all day preschool and kindergarten programs.
Mrs. Heiss holds a B.S. in Early Childhood Education from the University of Central Missouri and a Lutheran Teacher’s Certificate and a M. Ed. in Elementary School Administration from Concordia University, Nebraska.
Mrs. Heiss and her husband, Chuck have been married for over twenty-five years. They live on acreage in a rural area between Centerview and Odessa, Missouri. They have two daughters, Cassidy, and Caroline.
